In most cases, yes — our handle is designed to insert into standard U-shaped door latches (which are very common in many car, SUV, and van models).
What weight can the handle safely support?
The LiftMate is built from durable ABS plastic and reinforced aluminium alloy, providing both strength and lightweight convenience. This combination allows it to safely support up to 150 kg (330 lbs) when used correctly. Always ensure the handle is securely inserted into the vehicle’s U-shaped door latch before applying full weight for maximum safety.
What colours are available?
The LiftMate is available in blue or red.
Does it have additional safety features?
Yes! The LiftMate doubles as an emergency window breaker and seatbelt cutter, helping you stay prepared in case of an accident or roadside emergency.
Is installation or modification required? Can I leave it in the car all the time?
No permanent modifications are needed - our handle is a portable aid. You simply insert it into the door latch when needed, and remove it afterwards. We do not recommend leaving it installed while driving, parking, or when not in use, as it could interfere with door operation, snagging, or movement. Also, storing it somewhere safe (glove box, door pocket) while driving is best.
